Two floors. Free entry. No landfill-bound junk. Plus: - Face painting + kids' craft table - Donations collected for @magicochristmas, supporting local tamilies - And... who knows... we might even get a visit from the big fella himself. This post is a collab with @yycsapphics, building real community for Calgary's sapphic + queer folks. If you want more inclusive, joyful spaces in the city, follow them too. Location: Calgary Public Library - Central, 800 3 St SE, Calgary, AB T2G 2E7, Canada
Join us at the Calgary Central Library! Drop by for a short visit, or stay the whole time. We have a room booked on the 3rd floor (3-20A) and will have some puzzles for a casual activity while we chat and get to know each other. Feel free to bring your own puzzle, or bring along a friend if it helps you feel more comfortable!
The Central Library is located in downtown Calgary, around the corner from City Hall c-train station. There is a Second Cup cafe located onsite, and library guests are also welcome to bring their own food/drinks as long as the space is kept clean. The library is wheelchair accessible; most washrooms are gendered, but there are a couple gender-neutral/family-style washrooms.
Note: Our event host will display an ace/aro flag in the meeting room window for visibility.
This is an open event which means that everyone is welcome to attend, whether you’re a-spec yourself, questioning/unlabelled, or an ally. Whether you're familiar with our group or are a first-timer, we'd love to see you there! Let us know if you have any questions (email: ABAcesandAros@gmail.com). RSVP is not required - just come as you are.
