Presented by Queer Tech Calgary:
We have all seen how AI and automation are reshaping how hiring happens — from resume screening to interview selection. For job seekers, that means previous approaches need to be updated to meet current conditions. Today, successful applications must be intentional, human-centered, and optimized for AI-driven systems.
In this interactive session, leaders from rhum.hr will demystify how artificial intelligence is used in the hiring process and share practical strategies to help your resume stand out. You’ll learn:
✨ How Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) scan resumes and what recruiters actually see.
✨ The role of keywords, formatting, and clarity in getting your resume past the digital gatekeepers.
✨ How to highlight your unique strengths without losing authenticity.
✨ Ways to align your personal story and values with today’s evolving hiring processes.

Recent studies have found that over 90% of Two-Spirit, trans and gender diverse individuals stop participating in sporting, fitness and physical recreation activities after coming out due to lack of inclusive and accessibility.
Our Fun & Fitness program creates a pathway to be able to reengage with those activities and our bodies through a variety of events which are all specifically for and by the trans and gender diverse community.
Registration opens about one week before the event here: https://skippingstone.janeapp.com/#/recreation-fitness

Alberta's trans kids and their families need us. We can't stop thinking of them and what they are going through right now. How scared they are. This is an attack on vulnerable children and democratic norms. It's an erosion of checks and balances on government power, and a draconian imposition of government influence on private citizens and our healthcare system. We can't let Premier Smith get away with this.
We're ramping up for massive pushback against Premier Smith's attempt to undermine Charter freedoms and put trans kids in harms way. On our mass organizing call, we'll take you through each step of our plan to push back and win, and teach you exactly how you can help make a difference.
If you are in Alberta: RSVP here for the call on Wednesday, November 26th, at 5:30pm Mountain Time
If you are in another province: RSVP here for the call on Wednesday, November 26th, at 5:30pm Eastern Time

Between Men is a social-support peer group for queer men, including cis men, trans men, transmasculine people, and anyone under the masculine identity umbrella who is gay, bi, pan, toric, queer, questioning, or are otherwise attracted to guys. Between Men is a safe, inclusive space where we can talk openly and honestly about our lived experiences and share our stories to feel heard, respected, loved, and supported.
