Queer Quests (D&D One Shot Adventures) - Queer Calgary

🌈Queer Quests! 🎲 – Semi-Monthly 2SLGBTQIA+ D&D Events! 🌈

Ever want to give D&D a chance, but been to nervous? Well now's your chance!

Queer Quests is an ongoing, twice-a-month D&D event designed to bring Calgary’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community together through storytelling, adventure, and shared imagination. Hosted at Sentry Box Games, Queer Quests offers both dedicated beginner nights and ongoing one-shot sessions, making it easy for anyone to jump in!

These will be one-shot adventures, perfect for jumping in whether you're brand new to TTRPGs or a seasoned player. Expect fun, inclusive storytelling and a welcoming space for Calgary’s queer community 🌈 

Pre-generated characters will be available, but you are also welcome to bring your own! Dice and other supplies will also be available for use.

⚠️ Due to spots being limited, we expect them to fill up quickly, so don’t wait! There will be a wait list available! But this does not ensure a spot will be open.

Please note that The Sentry Box is made up of two separate business entities. To access the building, please enter through the west entrance into the Sentry Box, not The Sentry Box Cards. We’ll be on the upper mezzanine or back room depending on availability. Signs will be placed on the tables to help folks find us!

Please also be aware that the upstairs portion of this event is not wheelchair accessible due to the approximately 9 stairs into the building. But we usually have a table setup in the downstairs section for folks who struggle with stairs! Please feel free to send us an email at hello@queercalgary.ngo to let us know in advance.

Please note that online meetings are now held on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 2pm. 

Join us for friendly conversation in a safe, supportive and welcoming online environment. This is a chance for older members of our community to support each other and meet new people. Open to older adults 50+ who identify as 2SLGBTQ+ community members and folks who are alliesThis is a free drop-in event.

Please note that this meeting is moderated by Outlink staff and volunteers who reserve the right to remove anyone from the group who is in violation of our Safer Space Ground Rules.

This meetup is intended as a space for peer support and casual connection. This is not a structured therapy group nor is it a dating space. If you are looking for further support, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone, text based messaging, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling services.

Feminists Association YYC is a community group for people to discuss current issues through a feminist lens. 
 
This month we are discussing the Eldest Daughter Syndrome and the life long impacts it has. Why does it mainly impact girls/ gender non-conforming folks? Why has society allowed for girls to take the role of a parent at such a young age? Please come prepared to discuss your own personal stories of being an eldest daughter or experiences that you have heard of.
