Queer Tech Community Session

12/11/2025, 10:00 AM

Location: online

Come together for a community focused session on your experiences navigating the tech industry, the past few months of QueerTech resources and ensuring the resources planned for 2026 are the ones you need. This final QT Access session invites you to connect with your peers, share your journey, and help shape the future of QueerTech’s mentorship and learning programs.

Sign up through meetup: https://www.meetup.com/queertech-calgary/events/311995105/?response=3&dispatch_id=6924c1e5bce97a920d5c76c05b6a1a55

This year’s closing QT Access event is a community space for reflection, information gathering, and design validation. Together, we’ll explore what resources are truly useful - what’s helpful, what’s missing, and how QueerTech mentorship will be offered.

Through interactive activities and small-group dialogues, participants will:

✨ Reflect on what they’ve learned and what support they need next.
✨ Identify what makes a mentorship relationship useful and affirming.
✨ Learn practical ways to find, approach, and build relationships with mentors.
✨ Contribute insights that will directly shape QueerTech’s 2026 QT Access framework and topics.

This is a chance to connect, be heard, and help co-design the frameworks and connection points that will guide next year’s offerings.

Whether you’re curious about finding a mentor, eager to reflect collectively, or to support the community, your voice matters in shaping what comes next.

This meetup is intended as a space for casual connection, reminding us that we do not need to be socially distant even while practicing physical distancing. This is not a structured therapy group nor is it a dating space. If you are looking for further support, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone, text based messaging, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling services.
